And call you on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answers by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. 1 Kings 18:24

Physiological and other differences from humans
Ilbarians, like humans, are a diverse lot. They vary in size and coloration just as much as humans do. Their sexual dimorphism is more or less like ours.
There are dozens and dozens of different cultural subgroups and almost as many established religions. In a word, they resemble us a lot.
But they do differ from us in many ways.
What is a small biological difference, is a big problem in human-ilbari relations: Our hearing range. Ilbarians can only hear about one third of our vocal range, and vice versa. It’s the lower end of the human hearing range, and it means that 2/3 of ilbari speech fails to reach human hearing treshold. And naturally 2/3 of human speech fails to fall in ilbari hearing range. As such, our speech amd language patterns themselves don’t differ that much, and our species can understand and learn the theoretical side of each others languages.
Ilbari come from a world with higher radiation levels than Earth. Unprotected humans get radiation poisoning from what ilbaris would consider normal level of solar radiation. Ilbar is a bright world, and ilbars can’t see very well in dim light.
Pressure and gravitation tolerance.
Ilbar atmospheric pressure is greater than that of Earth.
Ilbar’s gravitation on the other hand is lower than Earth’s.
This can lead to, for example, deadly altitude sickness in ilbarians on Earth.
